Travis Aaron Wade and “The Last Full Measure”
The true story of a Vietnam War hero comes to life in this film.
Power-journalist Markos Papadatos caught up with actor, producer Travis Aaron Wade to talk about “The Last Full Measure” – an epic story about Vietnam War hero William H. Pitsenbarger, a U.S. Air Force Pararescueman who saved over sixty men during a rescue mission on April 11, 1966. Pitsenbarger was ordered to leave on the last helicopter out of the combat zone, but he stayed behind to rescue soldiers of the U.S. Army’s 1st Infantry Division before making the ultimate sacrifice in what is considered one of the bloodiest battles of the war. Thirty-two years later, the Pentagon began investigating a Congressional Medal of Honor request for Pitsenbarger . . . and that’s all we’re going to say, because spoilers aren’t fun.
Directed by Todd Robinson and co-produced by Travis Aaron Wade, this film is about triumph in the face of impossible odds and in honor of those who “gave the last full measure of devotion.”
Released worldwide in January 2020, the film features an all-star cast, including Sebastian Stan, Christopher Plummer, William Hurt, Ed Harris, Diane Ladd, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Irvine and Peter Fonda.
